![]() ![]() Overall lockdown is solid and pretty secure Lockdown is solid, the materials work well and the lacing system is really good, internal and external heel cup do its job well and there is no problem with heel slippage. My only real compliant is that this cushion set up doesn't feel responsive so when I play I kinda feel sluggish, and the forefoot zoom pods basically doing nothing. ![]() These shoes are actually really comfortable on feet and the cushion set up felt pretty good. The shock absorption is pretty decent on these shoes, the heel compresses alot and the forefoot zoom does as well. For the most part it didn't really feel like anything and overall the cushioning setup is nothing to really write home about. You can feel the zoom in the forefoot but it doesn't give you that responsive elastic bounce back of regular zoom air. For the most part the heel phylon is quite plush and soft but not the most responsive. The Freak 3's feature a phylon midsole with 2 zoom air pods in the front. Overall the traction is solid on clean courts and on sudden cuts stops and turns, but I just wished these were a bit squeakier. ![]() As long as you wipe, the traction does work decently well on dusty courts too. The overall durability is pretty bad as well, I would not wear these outside as the blades are both thin and very pliable, on the high wear areas I've seen some fraying already just from playing indoors. When you're making smaller movements in the shoes, think of stuttering your feet or swivelling your hips, the traction works well but it doesn't bite as hard as large hard movements. Hey guys, thought I'd share my experiences playing in the Nike Freak 3'sįor the most part traction is pretty solid on these shoes, they grip the ground well on hard cuts and stops but the only real downside is that they don't squeak as much.
